Today I learnt...PIE EDITION! yum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who made the first pie. Pie first started in ancient Egypt. The first pies were made by some Romans who probably learned about it from the Greeks. These pies were usually  made in "reeds" which were used for the purpose of holding the thing inside and not for eating with the filling.

Tween's Life

This story is about a tween called Liam. That is me. I had a horrible tween life. I'm now 37 years old but that's not the point. This was 27 years ago but I remember it like it was 27 minutes. Let's I didn't forget anything. This started 30th June on a Saturday.

I knew it was going to be an unusual day when my mum came into my room and said,
"Good news, Liam. Your grandma and grandpa are coming to stay here for two weeks."
"NOOOO!!!" I thought. My grandparents were so weird. Whenever my friends came over, they did face-paint to look like famous DC Super-villains like the Joker. My grandma was horrible at cooking, but she compared herself to Gordon Ramsey. Grandpa was a sore loser and he believed he was a pro wrestler. My. God. Please tell me if you have weirder grandparents.

Those were the school holidays, but that didn't change the weirdness. I asked my mum to go my best friend's house and surprisingly, she said yes. She was probably also sick of the smelly stench of weirdness. I went to my best friend, Jax's, house. He has all a good friend needs. We talked and joked and played on the consoles. I would never do that in my age. Okay, I do it sometimes but come on.

When I had to go back, I was surprised to see so many decorations and nearly all my friends and family.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" yelled everyone. I was standing there agape, looking at what they have done for me. Even grandma and grandpa were there, but this time as my favourite Super-villain, Death-stroke. That made me so happy I literally fainted. After what felt like days, I woke up. I was in my room. I looked at my watch, and it said it was the 30th June on a Saturday. But that can't be. That was yesterday! Unless...
"Good news, Liam. Your report card is coming in a few hours and remember. If they are bad grades, you go do some homework for 3 hours as you promised." said my mum.
"Ughhhhh." was all I said. This was going to be the worst day ever.
Today I learnt...

Which animals sleeps the most. It is the koala, who sleeps 22 hours a day. Then it is the sloth (20 hours), armadillo and opossum (which are at 19 hours each), lemur (16 hours), then hamster and squirrel (tied at 14 hours each). All these animals are really heavy sleepers. Note that all of them are mammals.
Today I learnt...

That there is a flower that smells like chocolate.  Cosmos atrosanguineus, also known as the chocolate cosmos, is a plant from Mexico that can grow up to about 61 centimetres high and has a maroon-colored flower. It's famous for it's chocolate scent, but be carful. This plant is not edible.
Today I Learnt...

Why China has 5 stars on their flag. The flag of China was owned on October 1, 1949. The red of the Chinese flag shows the communist revolution, and it's also the original color of the people. The big golden star shows communism, while the four smaller stars shows the social classes of the people.

Today I learnt...

About the first Faberge egg!  Peter Carl Faberge's first egg for the Russian kings and queens is also called the hen egg and was made of gold and white type of glass called enamel. The inside of the egg had a yolk made of gold which was a golden hen. The eyes of the hen were made of rubies. The golden hen hid a miniature crown and at the middle hung a tiny ruby egg.

Introduced to this country in 1904, kiwifruit are now cultivated worldwide, with New Zealand-grown fruit marketed as 'Zespri'. Did you know that, you silly goose? XD Help from Mack.
Poem Writing

Yellow

Sunshine, filling me with joy.
Friends, with smiling faces.
Games, with people you love.
Me, hyperactive, loving the world I’m in.

The feeling that goes with this poem is happiness and joy.

Blue

Water, with the whoosh of the current.
Tears, for people we mourn for.
The ocean, relaxing my depression.
Sadness, like they were always gone.

The feeling that goes with this poem is sadness, depression and relaxation.

Red

Blood, when my friends get hurt.
Anger, building up inside of me.
Burnt, filling me with pain.
Flames, taking over my emotions.

The feeling that goes with this poem is anger.
