CRACK! was the first thing I heard in my egg. CRACK! went another. “I think it’s my turn,” I thought. “On the count of 3. 1… 2… 3!!!”. I cracked open my shell and the light of a big, yellow, round thing was the first thing I saw. Then I heard a voice. “Here’s a new one! Aww, this one’s a little Barnacle Goose, ain’t ‘e?” I tried to open my eyes but the light was burning my eyes. Heh. Made me sound like a vampire. “Uh, I’m Dracula! Here to suck your blood! Blah, blah blah.”. Anyway, Then I heard a more feminine voice. “I would like to call this one Freewing.” And that was my name for the rest of my life.

I was so damn cold ‘cause I didn’t have any feathers and anyway, we live at the edge of a cliff. WHY THE HECK DO WE LIVE AT THE EDGE OF A CLIFF?!?! I tried to find my mum’s wing so I can get warm and cosy. That was my first day and my first night.

After a few weeks, I grew my feathers with my brother named Hurricane and two sisters named Rainbow and Cloudfluff. Rainbow was the youngest after me and the eldest was Cloudfluff with Hurricane following.

Today was the day to find food. Today was the day to jump. I looked over the cliff with Mama and Papa down at the bottom, urging us to jump. Papa told us about the way we had to jump. We did it in order, youngest to oldest. Rainbow jumped belly first. The padding inside our stomach prevents force from the rocks. My turn, I jumped like Rainbow and felt the rocks on my stomach. When I stopped, me and Rainbow were still alive. I saw that both Cloudfluff and Hurricane slipped and fell completely off course. Hurricane came falling down with a sickening crack and Cloudfluff came falling down dead as well. It made me very unpleasant. That is the story of me, Freewing.
This is my first ever comic strip and publish it on a blog.

My first day of school wasn’t at this school. It was in a place called Newlands Primary School in Johnsonville. Seeing how big the school was terrified me!!! The first thing that I saw was that everyone, I mean EVERYONE wore the same uniform! My first class was Room 10, the junior of the junior’s class. When the teacher introduced me to the class, I felt like a nervous-wreck. The only thing that came out of my mouth was a little “Hi.”, then the class shouted “HELLO IVAN!!!”. The force of the noise made me feel like I was being pushed to the wall and my eardrums were ringing. All the children giggled at my startled face. The second thing the teacher did was to put me in a group. The groups were Jellyfish, Starfish, Dolphins and Sharks. One of them was one that I didn’t know about back then. We’ll get to that later. I was put in the Jellyfish, and guess what, that was the one that I didn’t know about! I literally had no clue what the heck was a jellyfish, I was like, “Is it made of jelly with a fish inside? A jelly that could swim? A jelly with a fish-tail?!” I had no clue what it was!!!!!!! The teacher was a major but she was a kind and sweet-hearted woman which raised her voice only when she needs to. Newlands School was completely different than this school but that’s what makes schools unique, you know? At morning tea, someone took me around the school and showed me some places. I won’t say his name because if he was here he would be embarrassed. Let’s just say he was as cheeky as a cat with catnip. And that’s basically it about my past.

WALT: write and use our checklist.

I’m one of the most legendary sports. I’m the best! I’m the roundest!!
I’m… a show-off. I’m Argentina’s favourite sport! I’m… a football! Yeah, a
bit anticlimactic, but I’m still pretty cool, eh? Eh?! Anyway, I either get
kicked in the face or the butt, I always say, “Ai, por la amor de Dios! Que
es mi vida?!”. That stands for, “Oh, for the love of god! What is my life?”.
Sometimes they stop me with big spiky things. I think they call it “book”? I
don’t know, I’m Argentinian, I speak Spanish more than English. Look, I’ll
stub my toe and…<boom> Ai, por la amor de dios! Sos un idiota, Juan
Gonzalez?!?! Eh?! Porque esiste eso?! IDIOTA! IDIOTA!!!
IDIOTAAAA!!!!!!! Eh…You don't need to know what that means. Anyway,
sometimes they stop me with soft cushions. Even though they clamp onto
me like crabs. Other times, I come falling down like a meteor. Then land
on my face. Then I get kicked on the butt. And again. My name is Juan

Gonzalez and thatÅ› my story.

This is my word cloud for spelling.

MY FIRST BLOG POST
By Ivan

WALT: post items on our own blog.

Hi, I’m Ivan. This year I have set some learning goals. This year, I would like to improve at:

  • Maths - especially my times tables over 12 x 12.
  • Spelling - long ones like ventriloquist.
  • Reading - some like Harry Potter from J.K Rowling are pretty good.
  • Paleontology: dinosaur fossils - I would like to learn more about dinosaurs like Micropachycephalosaurus.

Please leave feedback for my posts and help me improve.
